Erin Ruby is an American designer of interiors and products, known for her holistic approach to design. She is based in New York City where she founded her practice, Erin Ruby Design, in 2014. Having worked at renowned architecture firms in the commercial interiors sector for over 15 years, Erin applies her interior design expertise to product development. Her innate understanding of how spaces work and how people interact with them informs her furniture and textile designs. Erin’s clients and collaborators include Interface Americas, Dow Jones, The Johnson Company, Tuohy, Halcon, HBF Textiles, Studio-Tag, Decca, and Gunlocke.
Erin graduated from Virginia Tech in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and has worked as lead designer for architecture firms TVS Design in Atlanta, Cox Kliewer in Virginia Beach, TPG Architecture and STUDIOS Architecture in New York. Her work has garnered numerous design awards and has been featured in publications such as Metropolis, Interior Design, Architectural Record, Contract, Interiors & Sources, Azure, and The Wall Street Journal.
