Finish System Guide
All Gunlocke products feature a low emitting finish system that enhances the beauty of the natural wood and ensures the depth, clarity, color consistency and durability throughout the life of the product.
All Gunlocke casegood and conference products feature the Cleartech™ Finishing System. The Cleartech™ Finishing System is a process used on all worksurfaces that begins with the application of an alcohol-based NGR dye stain followed by a wipe stain, which further enhances the natural characteristics of wood. Worksurfaces receive a specialized coating of poafaflyurethane acrylic resins cured by ultraviolet light. The result is a low emitting, full-filled, 40 sheen finish on all products except Kennsington, which receives a 70 sheen finish. All non-writing surfaces receive an application of 30 sheen, low-emitting, conversion varnish finish. Both processes provide exceptional depth, clarity, durability and chemical resistance throughout the life of the product.
All wood seating finish surfaces receive an application of 40 sheen, low-emitting, conversion varnish finish. This finishing process provides exceptional depth, clarity, durability and chemical resistance throughout the life of the product.
Storage and chassis components are available in 3 standard paint colors; soft white, muslin and loft. The painting process begins with two applications of a lacquer primer surfacer. This is followed by the application of a pigmented acrylic lacquer topcoat. The result is a low emitting, full-filled, 40-sheen finish. These finishing processes ensure color consistency and durability throughout the product.
